Rising Sun Distillery
Rising Sun Distillery is a small micro distillery in the heart of Denver. Rising Sun Distillery started when family folk lore revealed prohibition stories of Sol's great grandparents who used Wisconsin pears to make vodka and Dawn's great grandfather who turned his apples into hard cider. After various business ideas over the years Sol and Dawn decided to take the leap of faith and go back to their roots and start making hand crafted spirits. Their goal is to use the highest quality organic and/or local agricultural products to make the best quality spirits.
Rising Sun produces certified organic Vodka, Silk Road Gin and Oaked Gin and in the near future they will have Colorado Peach Eau De Vie and Colorado Peach Brandy. In 2016 they will have a Green Chili Distilled Spirit and a Green Chili liquor and an Apple and Pear Brandy.
The tasting room is a little industrial, but colorful and fun. They make unique cocktails that were specifically designed to highlight Rising Sun's Spirits. For a little spice try the Shanghai or if something a little more traditional the Old Fashion with Oaked Gin is a distillery favorite.
