Frequently Asked Question

What are the transportation options?
"The various ground transportation options from the Denver Area are: Bus, Shuttle Service, Rental Car, or private car/Carpool. Flying in for the trip means arriving at one of two airports: The usual airport that most people fly into is DIA (Denver International Airport - Airport Code: DEN) . Then one has to plan on one of the following ground options: taking a mountain shuttle or Renting a car or working out a carpool. The Second airport is much closer to Steamboat Springs and is Hayden Regional Airport (Airport Code: HDN) but tickets are usally more expensive and please notethat HDN is a 22-mile drive to Steamboat Springs and the Steamboat Springs Ski Area, this means that you will still need some ground transportation: arrange a taxi, or a shuttle, or rent a car at the Steamboat Springs / Hayden Regional Airport. (HDN) We are working on complimentary airport transfers this year, but we will not know until late October. We are again chartering a full size bus for the trip. It will depart on Friday evening departing from the Morrison PnR returning to the PnR on Sunday evening. We do arrange discounts through the Go Alpineshuttle service for those who need / want a more options on arrival/departure dates & timesorneed specific/customized arrival/departure dates & times. https://www.goalpine.com/ We also maintain a moderated forum for carpooling (drivers and riders) on www.outdoorsco.com and we have successfully found rides for everyone who has needed one since we started doing this trip. If it gets down to the wire and you don't have a ride yet, you can contact us to help; BUT please plan ahead and start checking early. Also see FAQ on carpooling for more info about arranging a carpool as a rider or a driver :o)"
