This is an FAQ for the annual April Beach Blast

We organize an after Tax Day April Beach Blast in Cozumel, Mexico.  This is All-Inclusive trip where participants shake off Colorado's Old Man Winter and enjoy beautiful warm weather on the Beach in Cozumel Mexico.  We organize a Beach Volleyball Tournament, have several organized events and get together where participants can meet each other and have some fun.

We do offer optional Scuba Packages including daily dives, dive packages with multiple dives per day, and learn to Scuba Packages with our own Master Dive Instructor.

The best diving is on the Palancar Reef.  The Palancar Reef is located about 10 to 15 minutes offshore, if you are staying at the Iberostar or Allegro Hotel.  If you are staying at one of the hotels south of town while you could dive, near them, the diving is not really great.  For the great diving in Cozumel you have to take the boat and go to where the good reef’s start.  Those 'good reef's" start 'in front' of the Iberostar.

An FAQ for the annual Aspen Revelations Trip in Early March

During the registration process you will be asked with whom you intend to room.  Put information (Name & email) of the person you want to room with and we will make sure that they are your roommate.  Please note that the Aspen Trip is booked based on double occupancy in hotel style rooms.

This trip is a GREAT way to meet new people. We can provide condo mates, numerous happy hours to meet other people going.  We also organize a Welcome Party on Friday night at the lodging and an Apres Ski in Aspen on Saturday afternoon for further mingling. If you want to hit the Glenwood Hot Springs with the group or on your own some will be doing that and others will be enjoying the laid back Glenwood nightlife.  Many people have come not knowing anyone and without exception, all have had an incredible time. We can provide referrals.

This information is provided via email to you 3 to 6 days in advance of the trip. This check in information will contain your trip confirmation, check in location, and Welcome Party information where you will get your lift tickets. We do not provide specific room numbers as you will get those at check in. You will get your unit number when you are physically present at the correct Check In location.

This means that you are sharing a hotel style room with 2 queen beds.  Do you mean I might have to share a bed with another person that I do not know?? NO, We do not expect/force anyone to sleep in the same bed! The lodging offers hotel style rooms with 2 queens or a single queen or king bed.  You have the option at registration to choose the type of lodging/bedding you prefer. If you are single and you are asking OutdoorsCO to find a roommate for you - the trip questionnaire does ask you if you want a roommate who is: male or female or either. We will not assign an opposite sex roommate without express permission from both people. Selecting the shared condo option expressly provides OutdoorsCO with permission provide you with a roommate  PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE FOLLOWING: The pricing we have is based on 2 ppl per room for all the lodging options we get.  If you want your own room, be sure to select an OWN ROOM option and note that those prices are based on one person in the room.

How does OutdoorsCO accommodate groups with an odd number of people? So, there are a few ways we can accommodate odd numbered groups at this time ...

The easiest is a situation like this is where the group splits the cost of the empty spot, or have one of the group paying for their own room ... The additional cost to the group or an individual is the current lodging only price for the type of condo that your group has selected.

The other option is where your group will ask OutdoorsCO to add someone to the group based on the questionnaire that everyone completes when they register ... OutdoorsCO will do our best to match the roommate to fit the demographics of your group.

We have different lodging options available depending on what you are interested in.  Our lodging is in Glenwood Springs, CO.  As you may know Aspen itself is not known for reasonably priced lodging.  Please do note that Glenwood Springs is about 40 miles from Aspen and that is about 30 to 50 minutes of drive time depending on traffic ... and of course there is no good ETA when weather is involved.

Lodging for our standard packages and the Friday Welcome Party are at the Silver Spruce in Glenwood Springs.

Silver Spruce

We have upgraded lodging options available at the Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs.

"The various ground transportation options from the Denver Area are: Bus, Shuttle Service, Rental Car, or private car/Carpool. Flying in for the trip means arriving at one of two airports: The usual airport that most people fly into is DIA (Denver International Airport - Airport Code: DEN) . Then one has to plan on one of the following ground options: taking a mountain shuttle or Renting a car or working out a carpool. The Second airport is much closer to Steamboat Springs and is Hayden Regional Airport (Airport Code: HDN) but tickets are usally more expensive and please notethat HDN is a 22-mile drive to Steamboat Springs and the Steamboat Springs Ski Area, this means that you will still need some ground transportation: arrange a taxi, or a shuttle, or rent a car at the Steamboat Springs / Hayden Regional Airport. (HDN) We are working on complimentary airport transfers this year, but we will not know until late October. We are again chartering a full size bus for the trip. It will depart on Friday evening departing from the Morrison PnR returning to the PnR on Sunday evening. We do arrange discounts through the Go Alpineshuttle service for those who need / want a more options on arrival/departure dates & timesorneed specific/customized arrival/departure dates & times. http://www.goalpine.com/ We also maintain a moderated forum for carpooling (drivers and riders) on www.outdoorsco.com and we have successfully found rides for everyone who has needed one since we started doing this trip. If it gets down to the wire and you don't have a ride yet, you can contact us to help; BUT please plan ahead and start checking early. Also see FAQ on carpooling for more info about arranging a carpool as a rider or a driver :o)"

How do two ppl make sure they are in the same room / condo with their friend, SO, Spouse? For the purposes of this trip we consider 2 or more people, wanting to room together or be in the same condo together, a group! So the FAQs on being a part of a group are relevant on how to do this. So if there are 2 of you and you want to room together or be in the same condo, you MUST fill out the group information in the questionnaire.
Creating/participatingwith a Group / Rooming together is completed when you fill out the questionnaire on the http://www.outdoorsco.comsite after you register and purchase the trip via the online store at the site (payment options are Check or PayPal) 2 or more people wanting to room together or be near others are considered a group! There are 2 primary questions in theSteamboat Trip Questionnaire which allow us identify someone as part of a group -> First, is the question asking for a group name and Second, is the question asking for the group leader's name. The group members will need to decide on a group nameand agroup leader. Then everyone in the group will need to use thesamegroup name and group leader when they complete the questionnaire. You can also add it to the notes section in your PayPal checkout or the memo line of your check. ** NOTE: You can have a sub group of a larger group. Group Name => [Main Group Name - Sub Group Name]I want to bring a group, what do I do? Group Leader InfoI want to bring a group of my friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, teammates, sorority sisters, ...you get the idea ... This is exciting and we want to help you lead a successful group! We are always enthusiastic about groups joining the trip and we want to congratulate you on your new role as a group leader! The group leader should then send the OutdoorsCO Steamboat Team (steamboat@outdoorsco.com) an email with the names, emails, & cell numbers of all the people in the group, if your group is spread across multiple condos please break them up into smaller groups of who is in which condo ... please use an email subject line of: STMBT11 - Group Name - # of ppl in group - Group Leader's Name Note STMBT## is the Trip & Year, we abbreviate as STMBT10 or STMBT11 or STMBT12 etc ...
I want to bring a group of my friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, teammates, sorority sisters ... how can we be sure that we will be in the same condo or that our condos will be near one another? If you follow the instructions to sign up as a group and your group leader follows the instructions for communicating with the The OutdoorsCO Steamboat Team, then we will have you and your group together. If you have an odd number of people in your group, please make sure to review FAQ on having an odd numbered group. If you and your entire group are registered and paid before Thanksgiving (or before that type of condo sells out), we guarantee that you and your group will room together / in close proximity to each other when you have multiple condos. If you have more than 6 people OutdoorsCO reserves the right to lodge your group in multiple condos If your group is even numbered (with more than 4 people) then we also guarantee that we will not add anyone to your condo(s) without express written permission from your group leader. Any groups that are lodge in multiple condos will be kept in close proximity to one another as is possible. We guarantee that you will be in the same complex and that we work very hard to arrange your condos to be next door to one another, down the hall, in the same stairwell, or in the same building depending on the configuration of the complex in which your group stays and the number and type of condos that your group requires.
If you have signed up as part of a group and the group has more people than can fit in one condo, OutdoorsCO goes to great lengths to keep your group together. We work hard to make sure that you group has condos next door to each other, in the same hallway, stairwell or building depending on the size of your group. We have never split a group across two separate complex's and see no reason why that should ever have to happen. We will keep groups even large groups as close together as is possible. If you have an odd number of people in your group, please make sure to review FAQ on having an odd numbered group.
Do you mean I might have to share a bed with another person that I do not know?? We do not force anyone to sleep in the same bed; however, by purchasing a shared option you are agreeing to the possibility. So, if you are single and you choose a condo package and you do not purchase your own room, then YES, it does! You can purchase your own room in the shared condo options or choose the hotel style queen bed option which guarantees you your own queen bed in a hotel style room. For women -> If I choose the shared condo option or even the QB bed option, do I have to share a bed or a room with a man I do not know? - NO, the trip questionnaire does ask you if you want a roommate who is: male or female or either. We will not assign an opposite sex roommate without express permission. For Men --> If I choose the shared condo option, do I have to share a bed with a man I do not know? - MAYBE, while we do not force you to do anything the shared condos rooms are booked with 2 people and we cannot guarantee the type of bedding. And if, as a male, you select that you only want a female roommate in the trip questionnaire, we automatically change that answer to be either. We also attempt to contact you to let you know of that change. Selecting the shared condo option expressly provides OutdoorsCO with permission provide you with a roommate and that expressly includes the possibility that your room will have only one bed. EVERYONE, if you choose a shared condo option without having a roommate or person with which you are willing to share a room and or a bed; PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE FOLLOWING: The pricing we have is based on 2 ppl per room for all the lodging options we get. In the shared condo options (standard or premium) these condos are privately owned and just have to meet the minimum standards of the property mgt company. In this case all condo rooms have to have bedding for 2 people which is qualified as a King, Queen, or 2 twin beds. Condo rooms can have bedding for more than 2 people, but not less.
Please read the FAQ on having a odd numbered group. Yes, if you have chosen a shared condo option and do not purchase an "own room" option then you will be sharing a condo with at least 1 person not in your group. If you choose the QB option then 2 people in your group of 3 will need to share a bed as the hotel style room will have 2 queen beds.
How does OutdoorsCO accommodate a group with an odd number of people? So, we a few ways we can accommodate odd numbered groups at this time ... The easiest is a situation like this is where the group splits the cost of the empty spot, or have one of the group paying for their own room ... The additional cost to the group or an individual is the current lodging only price for the type of condo that your group has selected. Another option we use with odd number groups of 5 or more people is when someone in a group is willing to hit the sofa sleeper, then we can book an odd number into a condo ... ... or the final option is where your group will ask me to add someone to the condo based on the questionnaire that everyone fills out when they register ... and then they would have an even number of people ... That does mean that there is a possibility that those two people (your 3rd person) and the person I add to the condo may have a bed they have to 'share'. Note that the condos do all have sleeper sofa which can be used and there is a possibility that we could get a rollaway, if necessary ... 3 people in a group is the most difficult situation to work around ...
